We offer an effective advice and guidance service which as at the heart of enabling students to consider their options at this crucial time, to allow them to make a realistic decision which will help shape their future career prospects. Pupils are offered impartial careers advice at various times during the school year. We invite various Educational establishments, Apprentice providers, Armed forces and employers in, to enhance their knowledge of options and destinations available to them.

Bedale High School is incorporating the Gatsby Benchmarks (statutory careers program by 2020) into the mapping out of our careers service from Year 7 right through to Year 11.

The careers program is delivered through assemblies involving Post 16 providers, Universities and other employment providers, including apprenticeships. This is then supported by Form Tutors offering individual guidance:
