Governors’ Annual Report to Parents

Bedale High School’s Governing Body is responsible for the following 3 strategic functions:

  • Ensuring the clarity of vision, ethos and strategic direction
  • Holding the headteacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils
  • Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure its money is well-spent.

The Governing Body appoints the headteacher and delegates the day-to-day running of the school to him/her.

  • Four Parent Governors (who are parents of current or recent pupils and are elected by parents);
