Importance of Extra-Curricular and Enrichment activities
We believe that participation in extra-curricular and enrichment activities is an essential part of education, exposing students to new experiences and broadening their horizons.
At Bedale High School, these opportunities allow students to socialise and create new friendships, whilst also having a positive influence on self-esteem, well-being and confidence.
We are determined that all young people, regardless of financial circumstances, should have access to such opportunities and this is considered when we are planning the activities on offer.
Extra-Curricular and Enrichment at Bedale High School
Our comprehensive weekly extra-curricular programme caters for all ages and interests. Throughout the year, The Student Council play a vital role informing and shaping the extra-curricular activities on offer. As well as a wide range of sports, students can take part in a broad variety of other activities.
We offer clubs that allow students to learn a new skill or develop in a way that they would not normally be able to do. Therefore, it is our expectation that students attend at least one club a week – with a vast range of exciting rewards for those who take full advantage of the extra-curricular programme on offer!
Extra-Curricular Timetable
The ‘live’ extra-curricular timetable is shared with students each week during form time, and the timetable on our website is updated termly.
