Uniform: The very high standards that we expect from students will be supported by this new uniform. Most of our students rise to the challenges we set for them, but to support the new uniform looking very smart, there will be consequences attached for not wearing it properly.
A lunchtime detention will be issued instantly for failing to wear the uniform appropriately, for example having a top button undone, wearing a tie incorrectly, not wearing the blazer in school or having a shirt untucked.
If a student arrives at school in the wrong uniform, they will be given the chance to borrow some spare uniform if available. If this cannot be resolved, the student may have to access his/her learning in isolation until such time as the correct uniform is in place.

Shoes: Plain black leather footwear with black/brown soles. Canvas shoes, mules, backless casual shoes, footwear with colourful logos, metal or fabric tags and soles of any colour other than black/brown are not allowed. Only a medical note from a doctor will be acceptable for wearing incorrect shoes.

Hair: For both boys and girls, only natural hair colours are permitted. Pink, red, green, blue etc are not permitted. Students should not have patterns, lines or symbols cut into their hair. It would be impossible to have an exhaustive list of what is/is not permissible; any permissible hairstyle will be at the Headteacher’s discretion.

Nails: Students are not permitted to have coloured or false nails (inc Acrylics).

Permitted Jewellery: One plain ring and/or necklace. Girls and boys who have pierced ears may wear one simple, small earring in each ear. Other Jewellery will be confiscated and returned at an arranged time. Nose, lip, tongue and eyebrow jewellery, or other piercings (including retainers) are not allowed, no matter how small.
